Pine Valley 5K & 15 Miler

In the past both Kade and I have ran the Pine Valley 5K, but this year I decided to run the 15 miler to help me train for the marathon. It was rough. I think there was only about half of a mile that was flat. The rest was on gravel road and was extreme down hill or up hill. It was definitely no leisurely run. It was a tough long training run. Kade finished his 5K and took a 2 hour nap in the car while he waited for me. It was our fun date. At the time I was okay with the race and I made the best of it. But in retrospect I do not think I will ever run it again unless I feel I need to be punished or I am being chased on that road by a mountain lion.
Positive Points of the race: it rained on us! There was a nice down pour at the beginning of the race and then it sprinkled on us off and on. Also, there were some amazing wild flowers! I really enjoyed how beautiful they were in a variety of species and colors. I am use to seeing purple thistle blooms but I have never seen white ones. They were lovely. The Pine Valley area is always an enjoyable area to be in. with the fresh mountain air and atmosphere.
