Sleep over with Aunt Karla

Kari and Kya slept over at Aunt Karla's house and boy did they get treated to the works! They had their hair done in curlers and their nails painted. They had so much fun that they didn't want to go to sleep - of course!
Here is Kari posing with her bedtime snack - Aunt Karla's house is the best!
Kya has her hair and nails done too and is munching on a bedtime snack too.
The girls had popcorn from Karla's adorable popcorn machine that is a mini version of what you would find at the movie theater - stand and all. They watched a movie and kept Aunt Karla up very late.
The next morning the girl's hair was super cute and they were soon ready for naps, I think Aunt Karla included. They found some fun Strawberry Shortcake posters at Aunt Karla's house too. Thanks so much Aunt Karla for giving the girls such a fun sleep over! They keep asking when they get to do it again!

It's a BOY!!! - are you sure??????

Yes - it really is a BOY! Here is the proof, because I couldn't even believe it. I think the technition had to show me five times before I started believing that we are really having a boy. I know someday our little man will be entirely embarrassed that his little boy picture is on the blog, but oh well. The arrow is pointing to his man part.

Kade started jumping up and down in the ultrasound room and then he started calling people to share that he finally has a boy! All evening Kade was discussing all the things he is going to do with "my boy", including the plans for the Father's and Son's outting (we may have to skip it this year because he may not be here yet or just be brand new). Also, Kade is going to make matching boy beenies so they can both wear them in June. I'm not sure that Kade is walking on the ground yet, he is still on cloud nine.

The girls are excited to have baby boy Kolden. I showed Kari his boy picture and she gave a disgusted look and told me that we don't look at people's pee pee's. I explained that it is how we know if it is a boy or a girl so she said she could look just once then - to know that it is a boy baby. Wow - we will have many new adventures with three girls and a boy adding a whole new boy dimention.

Kade has picked Kolden for his first name. We will call him "Kole" for short. I got to pick the second name and it is Kade, named after his daddy. So, our little man is Kolden Kade Cheesman. He is very healthy as far as we can tell and right now he is about 7 inches long and weighs 9 oz.
Here is Kole's cute foot. I've been feeling his sweet kicks for about 2 1/2 weeks now. He lets me know he is doing well.
Here is his arm. He kept putting both his hands over his face, so it was hard to get a good picture of his face, but I'm sure he's a cuttie.

New Years Eve

Kade and I volunteered at First Night for a few hours with the dance pads and bubble wrap dancing. The girls came and joined us for a while after. The girls are all wearing the cute hats we made them. I am also wearing a fun hat and scarf that I made to match. The hats kept us warm because it was pretty cold outside.
Grandma Beth watched the girls while Kade and I were volunteering. The girls were excited for their night out to play and see fireworks.
Kari spent almost the entire time at the obstacle course blow-up jumper. (We got in free to the activities because we had volunteered earlier.) She must have gone through it at least 25 times before we left.
Kya absolutely loves the swings. Her hat kept falling down over her eyes so she couldn't see half the time, but she had a blast!
A bit after the New Year we went with Grandma Beth, Karla and Clint to the Pirate Pizza place and helped try out a "crackin" pizza. It was very yummy and the girls loved the arcade games!

Christmas Fun!

We took our traditional trip to the cave in Pioneer Park, on the Red Hill. This is where we read the Christmas Story out of Luke. We always wear our Bethlehem attire for the occasion. We took the picture outside the cave.
After the cave we went and had a "Shepherd's Dinner" on the floor with the Cheesman's and Cottam's. Santa made a special appearance (Uncle Kyler) and we took the opportunity to have a family photo.
We sang songs with Grandma Creta Cheesman at the piano. It was lots of fun!
Christmas morning Santa came and left some gifts. The girls all got new pjs on Christmas Eve night. The ponies that Santa left were a huge hit - just what they asked for!
Kiera loves her new pez and is a little confused at all the excitement and commotion.
Kari is trying out the quillow that dad and I made for her. All the girls love to cuddle in them while we ride in the car.
Kya is all girl! She has already changed her clothes twice and put on the dress that Santa left for her. She has done her hair twice - note the pig tails with bow AND she just needed the new hairband in her hair too! She got her own "lips" a gum flavored chapstick and was constantly coating and recoating her lips. Now, she is doing her ponie's hair.
Happy dad - it has been a great Christmas morning!
Aunt Tina, Grandma and Grandpa Cheesman, Grandma Cottam, Karla and Clint came to watch the girls enjoy Christmas morning at 6am. We needed to be at Grandma Cottam's house by 8am for Elder Uncle Chad to call from Chilie!
We had a great Christmas morning. Kya is putting on yet another coating of chapstick (she used the whole stick just on Christmas day).
Grandma Beth gave the girls matching Pooh Bear jackets - she even has a shirt that matches them. Cute girls with Grandma Beth!

3 bugs in a rug - with matching dresses

Grandma Beth gave the girls matching dresses for Christmas and my sister got them all to smile at the same time. She has a special talent for that.
They do look cute and they are so fun all together. We had a great Christmas!
