Kya wanted an orange flower birthday party. Her favorite color is orange and she has been looking forward to her birthday since Kari had hers in February. Kya's birthday was March 31st. Here is Kya with her Dora pinata that we recycled from last years birthday parties. The pull-string pinatas are the best and it is just what Kya wanted.
Kya wanted orange flower cup cakes. We put orange Kool-aid in the vanilla buttercream frosting to make the orange flowers. We also added grape to make the purple centers, because purple is Kya's second favorite color. They tasted pretty yummy.
Kya made a wish and only spit on part of the cupcakes as she blew out her candles.
Cupcakes are a good way to go for birthdays.
Along with Kya's request for an orange birthday we had mandarine oranges, papya, and baby carrots to snack on.
Here are cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents that joined in the celebration.
Kari, Kya, Daycee and Haylee. Kya loved the baby doll they gave her.
Aunt Karla helped Kari find a dress that is Kya's favorite color. Kya loves this dress and wears it at least once, if not twice a week.
Aunt Karla bought Kya her birthday outfit because it was orange and she even added the orange flowers to the shirt, made orange flower barretts and an orange flower bracelet. Kya loves this outfit!
Kya is quite the artist as we have seen with her wall and other grafiti. Kade and I bought her an easle from D.I. and added some clamps to hold butcher paper on it. We got her some pre-filled paint brushes and she has made some awesome art with them!
Sugar from the candy in the pinata made Kya a bit silly with her goofy faces. We love our Kya and hope she had a great bithday!
