Last camping trip of this year - in Zion

We were excited to get in one last camping trip before it got too cold and too busy. We had made the reservations for this Zion camping trip back in April. We got many of the bugs worked out of the new camper and we were excited to see how it would work with the electric hook up. (We did end up having to get the heater fixed after the trip and learned about not saving water from the last trip to the current trip because it will go rancid. It will be good to try it out again next year when we have figured more things out.

I guess it is only fitting that we end the camping season with a snake at our camp since we started the camping season off that way back in Snow Canyon State Park.

This snake shot through our camp rather quickly, and I was the first to see it. It was going straight toward the kids and I screamed and the snake instantly changed directions, coming toward me so I jumped on the picinic table and let it go off into the bushes. Of course Kade totally made fun of me for screaming and jumping on the table. Kari reminds me about it and giggles.

We enjoyed sleeping in during our camping trip. Kade worked the night before and took up the camper before he went to work. I took the kids up and we set up camp and got ready for bed. Kade came up when he was off work and joined us.

After we got up and had breakfast we rode the bus to the museum and watched the video on Zion National Park. We had never been to the museum before and it was a cool video. We will probably go back again in future camping trips.

Kari, Kya and Kiera enjoyed being social with everyone we saw on the bus. Kari didn't hesitate to tell them her life story. The girls have been good helpers this camping trip.

We had guests come up for dinner. Karla, Sam and his kids, Grandma Beth, Chad and our neighbor Sarah Cleveland and her boys came up. It was lots of fun. We had some yummy crockpot dinners and then some crockpot cobblers.

Kolden is getting more steady on his legs. He will walk all over the place with his walker. He walked along the road and shouted "hi" to everyone he saw, he was so cute!
