4th of July lunch in Pine Valley

Kade, Uncle Cortney, Kya, Kiera, and Ben all enjoy some cooler weather in Pine Valley for a picinic lunch on the 4th of July.
Aunt Ashley relaxes a bit (she made some great potato salad).
Grandma Creta has Cloee, who looks so cool in her shades.
Jennifer made the BEST pie ever! It is peach cream cheese pie and we tried it as a cobbler. They are both amazing. Jen is a great cook.

Ryan helped all the kids cross the creek. This is such a fun picture. I know my girls really loved the adventure of crossing the river on a log.
Grandma Creta with cousins by the creek. Halie, Kiera, Kya and Ben.
Daycee and Shaye join Grandma, Ben and Kiera by the creek.
Kari and Kya are SO STRONG because they could lift this log. They showed us their muscles after. We had a real fun time at our picinic!

Summer Dance Classes

Kari and Kya were so excited to continue dancing during the summer. Kya was especially excited because she earned to take dance lessons again and she is working very hard in them!
I am a bit jealous because I want to take a tap class too! It is so fun watching the girls in their classes!
Kiera wanted to try out dance as well so we let her for a month. She is only 19 months and she is just not quite ready to not have mom in there with her, so we will wait until Spring and try it out again.
Kiera sure loves her dance clothes though (they were both Kari and Kya's) and she looks very cute in them.

Happy Birthday Clint - FONDUE

For Uncle Clint's birthday he wanted Fondue so Grandma Beth pulled out the works for a fantastic fondue! My personal favorite was the raw green apple in the Appenzell fondue cheese (from Switzerland). Yummy!
Happy 24th Birthday Uncle Clint!

For dessert we had chocolate fondue with cream puffs, strawberries and bananas. Needless to say we were wonderfully full of delicious Swiss food (with an American twist on the dessert).

New Hair Do

Karla was getting her hair done, so Kade sent me to get mine done too. I still had to pay up from a lost bet on the gender of Kiera,so Kade chose for me to go brown. It took a few days to get use to it, but I really like it now. Karla got pretty blond streaks in her gorgeous red hair. She always looks so pretty! Our faces are rather shiny. It had been a long hot day, but we have cute hair!

Visiting Shaye & Braxton

Cousins Shaye and Braxton Rasmusson live in Enoch and Uncle Ryan made this awesome trailer to give rides on. Dad, Kari, Kya and Kiera go with Ryan and Braxton on a fun ride.

Aunt Jennifer and Shaye have fun holding Kolden in the shade. We had such a fun time at our picnic with them!

Swimming Lessons

Kya had a great time in swimming lessons!
Her teacher did a great job helping the kids feel comfortable in the water and learn what they needed to.
Yahhhh KYA!
Kari learned a lot in swimming lessons. She really felt much more comfortable in the water with the goggles.
Kari's teacher did a very good job helping her learn her strokes. Kari still needs to practice her back float and elementary back stroke.

Kari is doing a front stroke. Yahhhh KARI!

Kolden, 2 1/2 weeks old

Kolden is the star of the household and his big sisters are always wanting to kiss him and give him attention.
Kiera is especially desirous to hold Kol all the time. She is so proud of herself and what a great big sister she is.
Kari love Kolden too and does a great job holding him safely.
Kya doesn't every miss out on her turn as well. She will sometimes help me feed him his bottle.
Of course we need to see proud tired dad hold his little son.
I know I probably shouldn't love this picture as much as I do, but it is sooo cute to me. It shows his left cheak dimple too.
Here is our Kolden posing with his leg bent. Dad is a big fan of the socks (no bows or ruffles on them).
Sweet Kolden!
This is the main picture we chose for his birth announcement. He is a handsome boy!
He is finally starting to grow more and fill out his clothes a bit better. He is a good baby and we love having him.
